An Agreement Between “BRAC Artificial Insemination Enterprise” And “Haychem Bangladesh Limited-the Authorized Idexx Lpd Distributor In Bangladesh to Implement Pag Based Pregnancy Detection Laboratory Test For Cow Within The Territory of Bangladesh”held on May 06, 2024 at BRAC Artificial Insemination Head Office, 75 Mohkhali Dhaka.

 

 

 

 

 

 

This occasion for Early pregnancy diagnosis of Livestock. This ceremony Chaired and agreement signed by Farukul Islam, PhD, Deputy General Manager, BRAC AI Enterprise, Dhaka and A.K.M. Kamrul Ahasan, GM, Supply Chain & Administration, Haychem (Bangladesh) Limited.

In the agreement on Early pregnancy diagnosis is essential to maintain the farm in a profitable manner. Timely diagnosis of the non-pregnant animal by the farmer helps them to re-breed at the subsequent estrus & to maintain an optimum calving interval. High reproductive efficiency is a prerequisite for high life-time production in Dairy Animals. No breeding-No calf-No production. Need to identify dry cows ASAP.

Current method takes around 75-90 days to identify dry cows. PAG based milk/Blood sample test method can identify open cows as early as 28 days. Early pregnancy diagnosis is key to shorten the calving interval through early identification of open animals & their timely treatment & re-breeding so as to maintain a postpartum barren. Early pregnancy-early calving-early new lactation-Early production. Then more milk, more money.
